Youths Governance:Dr Hashidu deserves NEDC leadership-NEYC

North East Youths Coalition (NEYC)have thumb up President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing the son of the late governor of Gombe State Dr.Umar Abubakar Hashidu as the new managing director of North East Development Commission (NEDC)

The coalition which comprises groups of youths from the six states of the Northeast region that includes Gombe,Yobe Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno,and Taraba States made the commendation during an interaction with journalists in gombe.

The NEYC Chairman,Gombe state branch,Mr.Sadik M.Abubakar Said,the newly appointed NEDC MG/CEO being a Youth has proven to be a competent  public officer when he headed the Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) as managing director. 

Mr. Abubakar stated that,the appointment of the new NEDC managing director is well deserved and timely.

He thanked President Buhari for giving the people of Gombe the opportunity to lead the commission on behalf of the entire people of the North East region.

The new Board and management of the North-East Development Commission assumed duty on Friday, May 19,2023 in compliance with the presidential directive to avoid a leadership vacuum capable of disrupting the operations of the commission in the terror-troubled subregion.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs and ethical reorientation, Yusuf Umar disclosed this at the second edition of the North East Unity Christmas Carol held at Damaturu the Yobe state capital. 9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
