Buni Unveils Two New Healthcare Agencies In Yobe

In an effort to promote healthcare service delivery in the state, Governor Mai Mala Buni has Saturday commissioned emergency medical ambulance services(YEMABUS) and healthcare and health related facilities inspections and monitoring agency (YOHFIMA)in the state.

In his address,Governor  Buni said,the establishment of the two new agencies is in conformity with the national health act 2014. 

Buni stated that,the state emergency medical ambulance service agency would support the provision of emergency medical treatment to all residents of the state.



Governor Buni revealed that,the policy is also intended to address the missing link in the health sector as reiterated by the world health organisation (WHO) the importance of hospital and emergency care system for all members of country that would address the emergency need of the populations.

"The healthcare standard and quality regulations agency would provide a legal prime work for the continues inspection monitoring and regulations in both private and public health related facilities in yobe state.

"This would ensure the provision of save standard and high quality health care and health related services to citizens of the state",said Governor Buni.

He further noted that,the launching of the two agencies makes the commencement of their full operations and implementation of thier various statutory mandate in the state for the benefit of the citizens across the state.

He  commended the federal ministry of health and all the developmental partners in the state for their continue support and partnering with yobe state government to actualised the establishment of this two important agencies and other laudable intervention to the state.
