Yobe Speaker Mirwa Host NISS course 16 for Dinner/Gala night.

The Speaker Yobe state house of Assembly,Mr Ahmed Lawan Mirwa has on Friday host participants of National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC),16 for dinner/Gala night in honour for their touring in the state.
The Dinner/Gala night took place at the banquet hall government house damaturu.
Speaking at the occasion,Mr Ahmed Lawan Mirwa said that ,the visit into the state is timely and apt as it suits the recent border policy of the African union that seems to develop international border communities and make them solid bridges for interactions between peoples of neighbouring countries for mutual benefits and sustainable development and integration among African countries.
The Yobe Speaker who represented Governor Mai Mala Buni assured them government continues cooperation and collaboration with the institution so as to achieve the objective of the security matters in the state and the country as a whole.
Earlier,the leader of the delegation, Director Coordination and liaison service Mrs Emiloye Oyeyele, appreciated the hospitality accorded the team since arrival.
Oyeyele who commended government for all its achievements especially in the area of security, said Yobe has tourism potentials which can be harnessed for economic development.
"With the return of peace, government should begin to diversify and make good use of the 8,500 years Dufuna Canoe, and attract investors with the abundant mineral resources of the state", she adds
She assured that their report of their tour will definitely impact policies in favour of Yobe state.
Mrs Oyeyele thanked government and people of the state for hosting them adding that the participants comprises of top security Officers and high ranking public Servants are on a tour to Yobe State as part of their 10 months study course in the institution leading to the award of fellow of security institution (FSI).
She said the theme of this year '2023' study tour is,"Globalization; Implications for Regional Integration and Sustainable Development in Africa".
According to her, the participants was earlier on tuesday paid a courtesy visit at the government house damaturu had an interaction season with the state deputy Governor ,Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana on various aspects of human endeavour, security, economy, education and minerals resources.
