Yobe Assembly To Confirm Auditor General,Permanent Members

Yobe state House of Assembly has on Wednesday 17,May 2023. received a request from the executive arms of government for the confirmation of appointment of Alhaji Aliyu Umar Gulani as Auditor General state audit department.

The plenary which was chaired  by the deputy Speaker, Mr. Auwalu Isa Bello Danchuwa read the request letter seeking the confirmation of Mai Aliyu Gulani as Auditor -General of the state based on the recommendation by the civil service commission for the term of four(4) years.

The honourable house also received a letter for the confirmation of  appointment of Ballama Abdullahi Budu as permanent member Teaching Service Board for first term of four(4) years and confirmation the appointment of Aisha Haruna Godowali as permanent Member Local government service Commission.

The house submitted all the request to the house Committee on public finance to go and sit scrutiny and bring back for the next legislative day

The sitting was adjourned by a motion move by the leader of the house,Hon.Bukar Mustapha to reconvene on 23,may 2023.

Baba Malam Wali,as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election. The endorsement was the high point of the group’s “Inclusive Governance for Collective Progress and Development Summit 2026,” where Christian stakeholders from Yobe South resolved to back continuity and reward inclusive leadership. Wali, a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and began his career with the Chad Basin Development Authority (CBDA). He later served as Social Mobilisation Officer at the defunct Mass Mobilisation for Self-Reliance, Social Justice and Economic Recovery (MAMSER). The former SSG also worked as Principal Research Officer and subsequently Principal Private Secretary, now designated as Chief of Staff, to the Military Governor of Borno State.
