Yobe Assembly receives 17 nominees for LG Caretaker Chairmen

Yobe State House of Assembly has on  Tuesday 16 May 2023 received the submitted nominees to be confirms as chairmen and members of the Local government caretaker Management Committees to run the affairs of the Local governments for the period of 6 months.

This followed the expiration of the six (6) Months tenure in Office of the caretaker chairmen of the 17 local governments in the state.

The Leader of the House, Hon. Bukar Mustapha,read the latter which was presented to the honourable house by the executive arm of government.

He said,following the expiration of Chairmen and Members of the Caretaker Management Committee for the 17 Local Government Councils in the State, there is need to appoint Caretaker Management Committees for the Seventeen Local Governments so as not to create vacuum in the Local Government Administration.

The nominees for the local government caretaker committee chairmen are: Alhaji Ibrahim Babagana, Bade LG; Lawan Bukar, Bursari LG; Bukar Adamu, Damaturu LG, Hajiya Halima Kyari joda, Fika LG; Baba Goni Mustapha, Fune LG; Musa Mohammed, Geidam LG; Dala Mala, Gujba LG; Dayyabu Ilu, Gulani LG; Umar Abba, Jakusko LG and Lawan Alhaji Gana, Karasuwa LG.

Others are: Bukar A Bukar, Machina LG; Alhaji Salisu Yerima, Nangere LG; Alhaji Modu Kachalla, Nguru LG; Salisu Muktari, Potiskum LG; Mohammed Lamido Musa, Tarmuwa LG; Zannah Zakariya kalgi, Yunusari LG and Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim, Yusufari LG respectively.

Presiding over the sitting,the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Ahmed Lawan Mirwa,after long deliberation on the nominees names,wards corrections,the sitting adjourned to Wednesday 17 May, 2023.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
