Gov.Buni pardon 115 Inmates in Yobe

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has Friday pardoned 115 Inmates who were serving jail terms in three Correctional Centres across Yobe State.

This was made known to newsmen when the Chairman,Committee for the prerogative of mercy led members of the committee to submit it's report to governor Buni at the government house damaturu.

The Inaugural Sub-Committee for Governor Mai Mala Buni and his Deputy Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana,led by Barr. Saleh Samanja submitted names of one hundred and fifteen inmates serving jail terms in three Correctional Centres across Yobe State for the  benevolence of the State Governor.

Speaking before submitting the report, Barr. Saleh Samanja said, this is the first time a huge number of inmates are being pardoned by the state Government.

Samanja further noted that with this benevolence, correctional Centres across Yobe State are now decongested.

He extends the appreciation of the inmates and fervent prayers for the gesture.

Commenting after receiving the report, Governor Mai Mala Buni called on well to do individuals in the state to emulate this gesture.

He explains that paying the little fines of inmates that were kept in correctional facilities would mould the society.
