Assembly PAC Host Yobe Auditor General For Symbiosis

Yobe state house of Assembly Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has on Thursday 11th May,2023 hosted the newly appointed Yobe state Auditor General,Alhaji Mai Aliyu Gulani at the state assembly complex in Damaturu.

Hon.Bulama Bukar who is the public accounts committee chairman revealed that,the Auditor General and his esteem staff were at the house to synergies efforts towards work ahead of them as newly elected administration in the state are about to take up.

"Public Accounts Committees do scrutinised  financial expenditure of the government and taxpayer’s money, ensuring transparency and accountability within Government, and making recommendations to ensure taxpayer's receive best value for money on government Spending.

"While the Auditor General is required by law to examine and report annually to Parliament on the account of Ministries, Departments, Regional Health Authorities,Regional Corporation and such state controlled Enterprises and Statutory Boards for which the Auditor General is the statutory auditor",said
the Committee chairman.

It could be recalled that Governor Mai Mala Buni was recently approved the appointment of Umar Mai Aliyu Gulani as acting Auditor General of Yobe State. 

Until his appointment, Umar Mai Aliyu Gulani was the Director Finance and Supply, Yobe State Pilgrims Commission.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
