KACRAN thumb up Gov.Buni for relates nicely with Pastoralists

Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN)  Commended Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni for appointing pastoralists in the state as Special Assistants(SA)and his passion respect,treat and related nicely with pastoralists and other Nigerians regardless of their status,tribe and religion in the state.

The National president (KACRAN)Hon.Khalil Mohammed Bello made the commendation thursday while briefing journalist in damaturu as part of their preparation in the state towards rejoicing with Governor Buni during his swearing-in for the second term as democratic elected Yobe Governor .



Khalil  also praised the governor for including pastoralists and farmers association in to membership of
various Committees form under his leadership to critically supervise and advise Government for the successful implementation of various Government’s policies and programmes that have direct bearing in their agricultural occupation.

"Mai Mala Buni has made a great history in Nigeria by the coming the first Governor in the country who appointed most of whom are living in the bushes or remote areas as Special Assistants (SA) which is the first of its kind in the State probably in the entire country of which we passionately appeal to Federal and other State Governments as matter of justice,equity and fairness to emulate him by doing same so that pastoralists in the country will feel considered as Nigeria which will make them positively contribute toward the administration development of their father land.

"The action that we strongly believe will bring more peace,understanding oneness and development in the country".

He noted that, KACRAN as Yobe state partners in progress,gladly decided to called  press conference to brief Nigerians and all people of the world on the multiple benefits their members that is Yobe State and Nigerians pastoralists who are yearly moving in hundred thousand into the State to enjoy the livestock development projects successfully and commendably executed by the good administration of   Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Mr. Khalil further revealed that, Governor Mai Mala Buni out of his gesture and magnanimity included livestock sector among the sectors that yearly and  always received his Government’s full attention and high consideration by collaborating with Federal Government in bringing in gigantic livestock development project in the State which is currently going on at Jakusko Nasari grazing Reserves.

"More so,out of his kindness and compassion in this year budget, he earmarked billion Naira for executing livestock development project in Gadana Grazing Reserve in Fika Local Government, while Gumsa in Geidam Local Government is on the queue among the State grazing reserve that are expected to be developed during his second tenure in office Insha Allah.

"We want to thank the Executive Secretary SEMA, Dr. Mohammed Goje and well experience staff for successfully organising the distribution of palliative at Yobe Line, Damaturu and animal feed distribution at IBB Secretariat to the State pastoralists at last year’s draught period which greatly assists towards preventing several livestock from hunger devastation what is called in Fulfulde Language (Shedu).

"As we are once more appreciating and commending Hon. Mai Mala Buni members of the State Executive Councils whom we works closely during said fruitful years we want assure him of Kulen Allah’s total support and commitment to enable him achieve his people’s oriented policies of developing our beloved State",the said the KACRAN National President.

A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
