29th May:Yobe holds inaugural lecture on good governance.

As part of the series of activities line up for  the Inauguration ceremony of the Yobe State Governor,Mai Mala Buni and his Deputy,Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana,Yobe state Government Sunday organised an Inaugural lecture with its title"the concept of Attaqwa in the application of good Governance in Muslim majority society",in the state.

The Inaugural lecture which took place at the WAWA hall Government House Damaturu was attended by Politicians,Religious Leaders,Heads of Security Agencies, Emirs and Mais among other top government functionaries in the state.

At the event,lectures were presented by Islamic scholars such as,Prof.Abdullahi Muhammad El-Okene, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa and Sheikh Abubakar Kyari on good governance respectively.

All the Islamic scholars enjoined on the Governor,his Deputy, Senators,Reps,Members of the state House of Assembly among other top Government officials in the state on justice,trust,generosity,charity, patience,endurance,and simplicity in all their dealings.

On his closing remarks,Governor Mai Mala Buni,appreciated all the clerics who dwelled on good governance at the symposium.

Buni also enjoined all the people of the state to shun backbiting saying he is not going to tolerate such in his administration in the state.
