KACRAN calls on NEDC Staff to Improve on the performance of outgoing Management

Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has commended the outgoing members of the North East Development Commission( NEDC) management board and called on the new incoming management to improve on their performance

This is contained in a statement signed by the KACRAN National President Hon Khalil Mohd Bello and made available to newsmen in Damaturu.

According to the statement,there is no exaggeration to proudly say that, in the entire history of the North East Region there was no Federal government's  institution that performed  excellently well towards improving the live status of the people of the region than the North East development Commission,which within a time under review, that is from its establishment in 2017, by  President Muhammadu Buhari to date, positively touched the lives of many people of the region, especially the IDPs and those who are directly affected by the painful act of Boko Haram insurgents.

The statement read a parts "for the reason that, if we could recall,  before the creation of NEDC, North East region was highly devastated by the  activities of insurgents which burnt down or destroyed many houses, schools, mosques, Churches, Markets, offices and people's properties worth than millions or billions naira.

"The worthiness of the situation then has come to a situation where by, the people of the region who faced the said bad experiences lost what to do, by finding them self in the midst of helpless situation without knowing what to do or where to go for help.

"Among the people of the region who  badly experienced the said ugly  consequences and seriously suffered due to the said ruinous activities of  of the  insurgents in the region are some of  our dear pastoralists, whom were killed, their animals rustled and forced to moved to unknown places without food, water or any source of livelihood.

"But thank God the almighty, as soon as the commission was established or formed under the able leadership of Alhaji Mohammed Alkali and well experienced, honest  and totally committed members of his management board such as Alh Mohammed Jawa who's main interest is the development of the region and promoting the lives of its people.

"It can be easily recall that as a the Commission was form it  instantly embarked on the aggressive execution of gigantic reconstruction projects such as building thousands houses/schools, offices and  renovating schools, houses, mosques, Churches, offices, giving palliative on quarterly bases to vulnerable and internally displaced people.

"The Members of the Commission's management board in their foresight bid to link the cities, towns, villages and rural areas devoted their time in the road construction, building bridges, training people on various professional Fields and supplying them with working materials to stand on their own economic/survival feet.

"Payment of scholarship to students and Teachers who want to advance the frontiers of their knowledge and so on and so forth.

"In the side of our dear  pastoralists, whom I am so much concern on their interest, the Commission performed wonderfully good by helping our Herders  with animals feed and water points as well as including our members in its quarterly distribution of relief materials to the vulnerable and  internally displaced people.

"At the same time, NEDC, under the able leadership of its Managing Director, Alhaji Mohammed Alkalii and his members of management board, more especially the Director Finance and Administration Alhaji Muhammad Jawa performed extremely well in terms of reducing the number of insecurity in the region and Boko Haram attacks on Security operatives and innocent people of the region by giving Military and other security operatives in the region helping hand in providing them with operational Cars and other Working materials.

"The commission had also assist towards reducing insecurity in the North East region by helping or engaging many Youths in the region with economic activities that they can legitimately relay on for their survival

"At this juncture, let us emphasize that, we of KACRAN decides to commend the Managing Director and  commission's management board due to the fact that, we strongly believe that all the commission's  successes mentioned above and numerous of them not stated are possible due to the trustworthiness, selfless services, transparency, accountability, sacrifices and total commitment of the commission's management board who works like a mad dog to achieve the said recorded success, because if they were not transparent and dedicated to duty the said enviable achievement will never be possible hence the need to commend them immensely.

"In view of our interest towards the development of our region, we members of KACRAN as one of the commission's  stakeholders and partners in progress we strongly call on the incoming leadership of NEDC, starting from its Chairman, MD, Management board, and all other staff of the commission to improve on the performance of the outgoing management team.

We also called on the remaining staff of the commission to extend the same support, loyalty and cooperation that they gave to the out going management to the incoming one to enable the commission improve on the said  recorded successes.

"In conclusion, while highly thanking the outgoing members of the commission's management board, who truly rendered selfless services that is currently benefitting people's of the region we passionately appeal to incoming administration of His Excellency Alhaji Asiwaju Boka Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President His Excellency Alhaji Kashim Shettima to kindly re-engage the out going members of NEDC management in other sector of nation building and human development so that their vast experiences in community services and nation building would be exploited to the fullest.
