Reverse LG minimum wage,Yobe NLC tells Buni

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) Yobe state Council has seeks Yobe state government for re-emplementation of 30,000 minimum wages to Local government workers in view of the current economic realities of the country.
The Yobe NLC Chairman,Comrade Muktar Musa Tarbutu made the plea on monday while celebrating this years 2023 workers day with the theme"Wokers Rights And Socio-Economic Justice"took place at the National Union of Teachers(NUT) Secretariat In Damaturu.
Tarbutu said,the labour is very aware of the state government efforts in creating conducive environment for civil servants ranging from Office renovation and furniture Supply "notwithstanding,we want you to consider the payment of ₦100,000,000,00 monthly gratuity".
He stated that,the may day celebration gives them an opportunity to share their concerns about the global trends and examine ways they can improve their roles and conditions as members of the nation's working class.
The NLC chairman revealed that,the council has in collaboration with federal mortgage bank of Nigeria,secure a loan for civil servants to renovate their houses and for those who did not own a house ,brand new houses were secured and distributed to them as well as other packages under such a policy.
"NLC in the state is ready to partner your administration for the betterment of Yobe
citizens.
"We want to reiterate our commitment to support Buni's administration to fulfill all its campaign promises by ensuring productivity in all sectors in the state",said the NLC council chair.
