Yobe Assembly begins Screening of commissioner nominees

Yobe state House of Assembly in its plenary has Wednesday screened eight (8)out of the 20 commissioner nominees presented to it by Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Speaking at the session during the screening exercise,the Speaker,Hon.Chiroma Buba Mashio,said the decision taken to approve the screening of nominees was based on the premise that the nominees had passed the litmus test of credibility and were found to be qualified for the exalted positions.

At the plenary,some of the members representing the various Local government areas where the nominees came from expressed satisfaction with the nomination of the Commissioner nominees by Governor Mai Mala Buni stressed that,they are all equal to the task ahead of them.


Among the nominees screened were
Mohammed  Garba Gagiyo,Engineer Usman Ahmed Bururu,Ya Jalo Badama,Ibrahim Adamu Jajere,Ali Mustapha, Aji Yerima Bularafa, Mohammed Abacha and Sidi Yakubu Karasuwa

The second batch of the nominees that will be screen on Thursday the 17th of August are Abdullahi Bego, Barrister Sale Samanja, Barma Shettima, Engineer Umaru Wakili Duddaye, Dr Mohammed Lawan Gana, Architect Ahmed Buba Abba Kyari, Yusuf Umar Potiskum and Kaigama Umar Yunusari 

While the third batch of the nominees that include, Dr Mairo Amshi, Dr Mohammed Sani Idriss, Musa Mustapha and professor Mohammed Bello Kawuwa will be screen on Friday the 18th of August, 2023.
