Aji Bularafa assumes Office,assures strategic planning

The newly appointed Commissioner Yobe State Ministry for Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment  Generation,Alhaji Aji Yarima Bularafa has on Tuesday assured for strategic planning in the ministry in other to move the state's economic forward.

He change the staff of the ministry  to be dedicated to duty adding that "all hands must be on deck and to make significant contributions  for the overall development of the State".
 
Bularafa took over the mantle of leadership affairs of the Ministry  from the former Commissioner, Hon. Abdullahi Bego who was re-appointed and deployed to Ministry of Home Affairs, Information and Culture.

The occasion was witnessed with mammoth crowd of well wishers from  Gulani local government area where he came from,and other well wishers from across the 17 LGAs and family members respectively.

Among the dignitaries who attended the handover and taking over ceremony were the immediate past Hon.Speaker of Yobe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Lawan Mirwa, former Hon. Commissioner of Transport and Energy now Special Adviser to Executive Governor on Transport and Energy, Hon. Abdullahi Usman Kukuwa, Hon. Chairman Gulani Council. 

Others dignitaries include;present and past Permanent Secretaries from Gulani LGA, District Heads from Gulani LGA and many party stalwarts from Gulani LGA as well as many other well wishers from across the 17 LGAs.

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...

Yobe Gov't,NTBLCP, Partners celebrates 2025 World TB Day

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu The Yobe State Government has installed seven new Truenat PCR-TB diagnosis machines to enhance the state’s ability to quickly and accurately diagnose TB cases.   The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mohammed Lawan Gana, made this known on Wednesday during the commemoration of the 2025 World Tuberculosis Day in collaboration with National tuberculosis and Leprosy Control programme (NTBCLP) and Development Partners took place in Damaturu,the state capital. Yobe Begins Survey on SGDP to Analyze Economic Capacity

Yusuf The Yobe State Government has on Tuesday commenced a five-day training program on State Gross Domestic Product (SGDP).  The training aims to analyze the state's economic capacity, enabling the government to better understand income levels and identify areas for investment.   The Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning, represented by the Permanent Secretary,Hamidu Isa Babi , stated that the SGDP is a crucial tool for economic analysis.It helps the government prioritize sectors for investment and understand the economic potential of the state.   He explained that the task will be handled by a dedicated bureau, which will conduct surveys and analyze data on behalf of the government.  "This initiative reflects the state's commitment to understanding the economic culture and income levels of its people".  The training, supported by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), was facilitated by Mr. Akindele Akinyemi.
