By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu
The All Progressives Congress,APC in Yobe state has expressed dismay with the attitude of some Party members for displaying the photographs of other members on Social Media urging them to contest or show support for their candidature for the Yobe East Senatorial seat, which is about to be vacated by Senator Ibrahim Gaidam.
This is contained in a statement signed by the party's secretary,Alhaji Abubakar Bakabe and made available to newsmen in Damaturu.
According to the statement this attitude is polarising and making the unity of the Party at jupidy even before the party calls for nomination.
The party secretary further said,"it is because of the foregoing, the Party wishes to sound note of warning to members, either those intend to contest or their supporters to desist
from using the social media to advertise themselves or showing support to any person.
"For the avoidance of doubt the Party will not hesitate to sanction any member/members who engaged in such illicit acts capable of
destabilising the party in the state.
"However the party also wishes to reiterate that what is before it,is local government elections not the Senatorial seat which the incumbent is yet to vacate the let alone been sworn in as Minister",said Bakabe.
The Party urges all its members
to remain calm and wait for further instructions.
