Buni Declares Open Three Day Retreat For Commissioners

Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has Saturday declared open a three-day retreat for members of the State Executive Council in Kano.
Governor Buni said that the retreat was coming just one week after the inauguration of the council underscores the commitment of his administration to get the Commissioners on one page for a better understanding of the policy direction of the government for effective and efficient execution of government policies, programmes and projects.
He charged the Commissioners on due-Process saying, that transparency must be maintained in doing government business.
He further said his administration will build on the successes recorded in the last four years to improve the lives of the people.
Buni rolled out the priority areas of his government in the next four years to include security, education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, wealth creation and employment, and infrastructural development.
Others include Commerce and industry, Water and Environment, and climate change among others.
Earlier, the Acting Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali said the retreat was aimed at preparing both the old and new Commissioners to execute the vision and mission of the Buni administration with vigour.
Professor Ishaq Olorede, The Secretary General, Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Registrar JAMB, reminded the Commissioners of the task awaiting them and their accountability for every action and inaction, in their public service.
The Commissioners are expected to be at the end of the retreat to be technically prepared for the policy of effective and efficient delivery of democratic dividends to the people.
