National Youth Games Kicks Off in Yobe

National Youth Games (NYG) Zonal Elimination for the Northeast region has finally begun in Yobe State.
The event, which is being held at a prestigious venue, August 27th Stadium has attracted the attention of various stakeholders, including members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).
The Vice President of SWAN Northeast, Comrade Ahmed Kagana Amshi, is representing the SWAN President Mr. Isaiah Benjamin at the elimination series.
The zonal event received additional support from the Chairmen of Adamawa, Bauchi and the host state, as Chairman Michael Oshomah was also present to provide comprehensive coverage of the event.
Representing the State Governor, Mai Mala Buni,was the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, who shared the Governor's excitement regarding the tournament. The Governor emphasized the importance of providing a platform for young athletes from the region to showcase their talent and compete at a national level.
The participating states in the zonal competition include Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, and the host state, Yobe. The teams have been meticulously preparing for the championship and are eager to display their skills and determination.
Sports enthusiasts and spectators can look forward to an exciting and action-packed event, as the athletes showcase their worth in various sports disciplines.
