Khadija distributes food items to constituents in Yobe

The house of representatives member representing,Damaturu, Gujba,Gulani and Tarmuwa Federal Constituency in Yobe state,Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim has Wednesday flagged-off the  distribution of assorted food items to Vulnerable and Less privilege across in her Constituency inder Khadijatul Kubra Foundation.

The flagging-off distribution of the  food items took place at the local government secretariat in damaturu.

The foods items includes,500 units of 25 kg bag of Rice,250 cartons of macaroni 250 cartons of spaghetti and 200 Gallons of 5 litre edible oil.

Speaking at the event,the initiator and sponsor of the programme,Hon Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim,said the food items will be distributed to the people in her constituency, Damaturu ,Gujba, Gulani and Tarmuwa Federal constituency, especially vulnerable and less privilege persons.

The lawmaker stated that,the kind gesture is meant to cushion the effect of the current inflation, pressure and removal of fuel subsidy in the country.


Flagging off the distribution of the food items,Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni siad,the initiative by Hon. Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim is a clear demonstration of her responsiveness to the plight of the people of her Constituency.

Represented by his deputy,Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana,Buni noted that, the gesture would go a long way in reducing the impact of the removal of the subsidy among the populace.

The Governor pointed out that the donation has come at a time when the state government is putting the necessary machinery in place for the same purpose across the 17 Local Government areas of the state.

He requested other members in the state to emulate her as the challenge s before the state and the country at large really needs collective effort.

Earlier in his welcome address,the caretaker committee chairman Damaturu local government,Bukar Adamu  expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for her concern on people of the constituency.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
