Yobe Governor Mourns Hajiya Aisha Mangal

Yobe State Governor  Mai mala Buni, was on Wednesday in Katsina to condole with Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Aisha Mangal, who died some few days ago.


This is contained In a statement by Governor Buni's Media aide Alhaji Mamman Mohammed,Governor Buni described late Hajiya Aisha as a great wife, mother and philanthrophist who will be missed by the family, Katsina state and humanity.

'"I pray to Allah (SWT) to forgive her shortcomings and grant her soul eternal rest in Aljannatur Firdaus, amin.

"I equally pray to Allah to console the Barau Mangal family and bear them the fortitude to bear this great loss" Governor Buni prayed.

Alh. Dahiru Barau Mangal, a renowned Katsina based business tycoon, had always identified with the Buni administration and devepments in Yobe state.

He contributed handsomely at the launching of the Yobe State Education Appeal Fund to support the development of education in Yobe state.

A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
