Yobe Assembly Approves 20 Special Advisers to Gov. Buni

Yobe state House of Assembly has on Tuesday considered and approved the appointment of 20 Special Advisers  to the Executive Governor of Yobe State,Mai Mala Buni.

Speaker of the house , Honourable Chiroma Buba Mashio said,the twenty (20) Special Advisers would assist the state governor to performs his duties in steering the affairs of the state.

Moving the motion,the leader of the house,Hon Hassan Yusuf read a letter from the executive dated on 14/July/2023, requesting the house approval of the appointment.

The house also set an ad-hoc committee of six(6) members chaired by the leader of the house,Hon Nasiru Hassan Yusuf to work on the confirmation of appointment of kalilu Bukar Gaidam as permanent member,Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission (YSIEC) and report back in the next legislative session.

Other members of the committee were,Ahmed Musa Dambol,vice chairman,Buba Kalallawa,Lawan Sani Inuwa and Saminu Musa Lawan while the Clerk of the house Barrister MB Yusuf would serve as the Secretary of the committee.

The house adjourned to reconvene on Wednesday 19 July 2023.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs and ethical reorientation, Yusuf Umar disclosed this at the second edition of the North East Unity Christmas Carol held at Damaturu the Yobe state capital. 9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
