Nangere LG begins distribution of Agricultural tools to 11 wards

Nangere local government area of Yobe state has commenced the distribution of agricultural implements procured by Governor Mai Mala Buni worth billions of Naira.

Flagging-off the distribution at Sabon Garin Nangere, the Chairman Distribution Committee who doubles as the Member representing Nangere Constituency, Saminu Musa lawan says 30 beneficiaries across 11 wards of the local government will benefit from the gesture.

“Today we are flagging-off the distribution of the agricultural implement procured by Governor Mai Mala Buni and launched by Vice President, Kashim Shettima”.

“These items are being distributed directly to the real farmers.Twenty Males from each ward were given the implements while 10 women from each ward received two female goats and one male goat each after thoroughly being screened” he said.

The Executive Chairman of the Local Government Area, Samaila Musa while appreciating the Governor Mai Mala Buni explained mechanisms have been put in place to arrest any beneficiary attempting to sell the items.

“We commend Governor Mai Mala Buni for the gigantic efforts.  We have put in place mechanisms to deal ruthlessly with any farmer or beneficiary that may think of selling the implements” he said.

One of the beneficiaries, John Jonga, said this is the first time farmers are getting agricultural implements directly from the government without bureaucracy.

He called on Governor Mai Mala Buni to sustain the tempo so as to allow many to embrace farming activities.

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
