IYD:NEYIF hold symposium on Youth Digital Pathways in Yobe
As part of the activity marking the commemoration of International Youth day in the state,North East Youths Initiative for Development (NEYIF) in collaboration with Yobe State Emergency Management Agency(SEMA)Yobe Information Technology Development Agency(YITDA)have organized a one day symposium on Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development in the state.
Speaking at the event,the Executive Director,North East Youths Initiative for Development,Comrade Dauda Mohammed said, globally the united nations has mark, every 12th august as international day that set a side to celebrate the contribution and role of youths in the advancement of mankind.
Dauda stated that,as such this year they are discussing about clicks to progress Youth digital pathways looking at the ways and how youth will leverage and take advantage of digital space to advance development and improve on there wellbeing.
"That is why we fill that Yobe youth should not leave behind that is why we organized this event to mark this day and also to sensitise and educates youth on various topics on social media,digital literacy,and the rest for them to take advantage of that to grow and advance in their wellbeing".
The NEYIF Directed called on the Youths to be promotion of peace using social media and other things and take advantage of digital space in advancing of their on course by learning courses online,by learning programme and activities that will help them personally to grow and to advance.
The youth symposium feature paper presentation and penal discussion on the topics;role and contribution of social media in advancing democracy,peace and development:challenges and way forward,digital literacy as a panacea for youth advancement, growth and development,Prospect and way forward and from clicks to progress:Youth digital pathways for sustainable development respectively.
