Media tour:Nuj hail Buni's effort of roads construction in Yobe


The chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Yobe state council, Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismail, Tuesday, commended Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni for the construction of roads that link many communities across the state.

Comrade Rajab made the commendation when he led various organisations of journalist in the state on media tour to communities in which the road projects are currently ongoing.

The media team initially visited Karasuwa-Garinguna in Karasuwa local government area where 18km road was already completed and Chumbusko-Tagali, an ongoing 10km road nearing completion by the state government.

He stated that,the media went round all the communities and see the level of roads being constructed under the administration of Governor Buni through the Commissioner ministry of works,Engineer Umar Wakili Duddaye.

He revealed that ,the project were not compromised, and what is expected from the general public.

While at Tagali Community of Bade Local government area,Wakili Kakdu Kafayo said,the construction of the Chumbusko-Tagali 10 km road by Yobe state government came as a result of flooding that occured in 2022 at the community where Governor Mai Mala Buni paid them a sympathy visit and find out the community road is not accessible.

He stated that,the road its now nearly completion, commended Yobe state Governor Mai for the giant stride.

The media team also visited,Dawasa-Kukuri-Chukuriwa where currently 16km road construction that link the three communities ongoing.The village head of the chukuriwa community,Alhaji Lawan Mohammed and Ishaku Adamu, Masaya of Kukuri Community revealed that ,the construction of the 16km road if completion will definitely enhance economic growth of the area.

While at the 22.5km Fika -Maluri construction road project in Fika Local government,the vice chairman Fika local government,Ahmed Abubakar said, the road project is one of the projects being jubilated by the citizens of Fika and maluri."Fika -Maluri road project has link about five wards and it would also link up the neighboring Local government of Gujba and Gulani respectively.

He appreciated the effort of Governor Mai Mala Buni  for fulfilling the promised made during the electioneering campaign.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
