Gov.Buni review curfew in Potiskum,Gashua,Nguru



Following a considerable improvement in the security situation in potiskum,Gashua and Nguru,Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved a review in the curfew imposed on the three towns by five (5) hours. 

In a press release by the Special Adviser to Yobe state governor on security matters,Dahiru Abdulsalam, Brigadier General(Retired)said,the curfew is now relaxed from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM for people to undertake lawful activities with effect from Sunday, 4th August 2024.

The statement further stated that,the security agencies are enjoined to maintain the current level of security alertness and ensure that no space is given to hoodlums and miscreants to perpetrate any act of lawlessness during the curfew relaxation period. 

Consequently,law abiding citizens are requested to carry out their lawful activities during the intervening period (12:00 noon to 5:00 PM) while the period between 5.00p.m to 12.00 noon remains restricted.
