Group behind request for Sen.Bomai’s recall enemies of Yobe South-Forum

A group, Concerned Potiskum Youth Progressive Forum in Yobe has described the request for the recall of Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai and other representatives as malicious, mischievous and politically premeditated.

The forum said it is not totally uncalled for and the handiwork of his political detractors,enemies of Yobe South development,saboteurs of the APC and opposition parties who lost Senatorial elections
in 2019 and 2023.

Chairman of the Forum,Comrade Mohammed Adamu Potiskum revealed this in a rejoinder on the recall of Senator Ibrahim Bomai, Hon.Fatsuma TalbaI and Hon.Ahmed Adamu at a gathering held at the Bolewa ‘B’ collation center, Potiskum town of Yobe state.The Chairman stated that the purported request for recall addressed to INEC chairman emanated from a fake group parading themselves as electorates of Yobe South.



According to him, the forum learned that some of those who signed the petition were shortchanged and signed ignorantly without knowing the content of the letter.

“These groups are not comfortable with the political capacity of Bomai and his future political career,which is why they are desperate to blackmail him at all costs,not minding his benefit to the electorates,” he added.

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
