Fika Government Lodge under instruction By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Caretaker Chairman of Fika local government area of Yobe State, Halima Kyari Joda has embarked on the construction of one of the largest Government Lodge in the state. Joda disclosed this when she paid unscheduled visit to the site of the project in Fika, the headquarters of Fika local government area. Buni, who reduced the price of each bag of the fertiliser to N13,000, said it would assist farmers in the state to boost outputs for the 2023 farming season. Launching the fertiliser sales at the event centre of the government house Damaturu, the governor called on farmers to take advantage of the slashed rate to increase their agricultural yield in the state. “On this note, I have directed that for the 2023 farming season, a bag of NPK 20- 10-10 fertiliser to be sold at N13,000 per bag. Governor Buni directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to support the vulnerable persons with the food items. The beneficiaries were provided with rice, maize, beans, spaghetti, salt and food seasoning cubes among others. By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu Federal Ministry of Agriculture and rural development in collaboration with  world bank Monday began a two-day training of private and public Animal Health workers across the 17 local government areas of Yobe  state on Disease reporting and use of National Animal Disease Information Service(NADIS). Yobe NDE Coordinator,Hajiya Binta presenting loan Documents to beneficiary. By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu The National Directorate of Employment (NDE)Wednesday disbursed loan of N1.9 million to unemployed youths in agri-business across the 17 Local Government Areas of Yobe state. The Director General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo who spoke during the loan disbursement in damaturu revealed  that,the beneficiaries were amongst the 1700 recruited and trained last year under its sustainable Agricultural Development Empowerment Scheme (SADES)of its Rural Employment Promotion Department (REP).
