Yobe Desert FC holds Sallah Luncheon to players,officials

In the spirit of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration, the Management of Yobe Desert Stars Football Club today organized a sallah celebration for the players and officials.
The event which took place at the indoor sports complex of the August 27 Stadium Damaturu had in attendance all the players and the officials of the club
The club Secretary, Ahmed Babi in his welcome remarks said the coming together of the team is to underscore the family bond that is inherent in the team.
“We are here today to eat and drink on this occasion because we are one family. I want to emphasize that this team is one family. We all accommodate our differences as Christians and Muslim. We are eating together today for Sallah and we continue to dine together in all that we do as a team. This is very important to the management which is why we put this event together to show case our unity and oneness,” Babi said.
The team Technical Adviser Tope Bolus thanked the management for always exploring avenues of creating a healthy bond between the Players/Technical Crew and the Management.
Coach Bolus charged the players to remain focus on securing the premier league slot for the club for the next season.
“As you are aware, we are on top of our group at the moment and in an excellent position of securing a premier league slot for the next season for the club. You need to be reminded that what is most important for the team now is not the position we are but to remain focus on securing that premiership slot, therefore we all have to work hard to achieve that objective ,” coach Bolus said.
The Team captain, Chinedu Zaza on behalf of the players expressed gratitude to the management of the club for organizing the Sallah luncheon for his colleagues.
Yobe Desert Stars Football Club occupies the top slot in group B4 in the Nigeria National League with only three matches to the end of the Season.
