NUC Accreditates 9 Yobe Versity's Programmes

Yobe State University has recorded another feat as it secures successful accreditation of 9 of its programmes.

This was contained in a letter sent to the University titled  "Summary of Result of November/December  2022 Comprehensive Accreditation Exercise" signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation  on behalf of the Executive chairman Professor Abubakar Rasheed.

Prof. Mala Mohammed Daura who expressed delight over the development also thanked the staff and students for their cooperation, diligence and team work that paved way for the successful accreditation exercise. 

He also disclosed that the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) would soon visit the University on Wednesday 26th April 2023  for accreditation of programmes in the College of Medical Sciences.

Commenting on the development, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the role played by the Director Academic planning, Dr. Mohammed Bukar Ngamdu, for working tirelessly to ensure that the exercise was successful.
 
Prof. Daura then commended the Yobe State Government for the continued support to the University emphasizing that the feat would not have been possible without the huge financial, moral and infrastructural support received from the State Government under the able leadership of His Excellency,  Hon. Mai Mala Buni.

Also speaking, the Registrar of the University, Dr. Kalli Alkali Yusuf Gazali fecilitate with the Vice Chancellor, staff and students on the successful accreditation. "it is a function of your hardworking and dedication" he added.

The eight programmes that got full accreditation are; Linguistics/Arabic, Linguistics/English, Psychotherapy,
Anatomy, Medicine and Surgery, Biochemistry, Geology, and Microbiology while Physiology got interim accreditation.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
