Yobe:NDE begins registration of unemployed Youths

The National Directorate of Employment,NDE, has commenced the registration of all unemployed youths across 17 local government areas of Yobe  State.


The NDE Yobe state coordinator, Hajiya Binta Aliyu, on behalf of the Director General of the NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, made this known in a press statement made available to newsmen in Damaturu.

According to the statement,Binta said,"the state registration is scheduled to start on Monday 17th April to 5th May, 2023.

"The registration exercise will hold at NDE state office federal secretariat complex in damaturu and the 17 Local government's secretariat across Yobe state respectively".

The NDE Coordinator, therefore, appealed to all unemployed youths in Yobe State to use the advantage and register themselves in their respective local government areas to benefit from the programme.

According to her"the federal government wants to have the full statistics of unemployed persons across the country to make a proper plan for them.

"Highest qualification,local government indegineship,valid means of identification (NIN), permanent home address and contact phone number are among the details required for the registration.

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
