Easter:Buni Sues For Prayers for A Successful Transition

 Governor  Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state  has called on Nigerians to use the Easter occasion to pray for a successful and peaceful transition of power as Nigeria prepares for change of leadership.

This is Contained in a statement issued and signed by Governor Buni's Director General Press and media affairs, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed.

The statement said, Governor Buni stated this in a goodwill message to the Christian faithful to mark the Easter occassion.

He said, it is very important to internalise the values of love and sacrifice as reflected in the teachings of the Easter at this period of our national life.

"The good lessons of love and sacrifice should be used  to promote peace and unity for the prosperity of the country and Nigerians", said Gov.Buni

The Governor noted that this is a blessed period when Christian faithful observe the Easter at a time when their Muslim brothers are observing the Ramadan fast.

"It is therefore a great opportunity for us as a Nation to take advantage of this period to pray for our country" Gov. Buni advised.

The Governor called on Religious and community leaders to always preach peace and peaceful coexistence.

"We can only practice our religions and achieve prosperity when we have peace.

"Some few years back, we could not go to Mosques and Churches in Yobe state due to security challenge, but today we glorify God for the peace we now enjoy across the state.

"We should therefore guard it jealously and avoid anything that could tamper with Peace and security in Yobe state and Nigeria" he advised.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
