Tribute to My Beloved Grandmother, late Hajja Aisha Kabano
By ,Bulama Ibrahim Lamba
Today, March 7th, 2025, marks the 13th year of the passing of my dear grandmother, Hajja Aisha Kabano, she was first wife of our late grandfather late Alhaji Muhammadu Fugura of blessed memory. She was the daughter of the Late Alhaji Haruna Godowoli, Waziri of Fika.
My grandmother was more than just a family member; she was the pillar that held our family together. Her kindness, generosity, and selflessness inspired us all. She was the only grandmother I knew, as the others had passed away before I was born.
I cherish the memories of her love, care, and guidance. She was always there for us, cooking, advising, and providing comfort whenever we needed it. Her door was always open, and her heart was full of love for everyone.
My grandmother played a significant role in the development of our family. She worked tirelessly to ensure our well-being, and her kindness and generosity inspired us to be better people.
As I remember her today, I pray that Allah forgives her and all those who have passed before us. May her soul rest in peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire us to be kind, compassionate, and generous.
Rest in peace, dear grandmother. Your memory will always be remembered.
Bulama Ibrahim Lamba.
