Ramadan:Gov.Buni Donates Food Items to Inmates Across Yobe

By Yusuf A. Yusuf, Damaturu

As part of his commitment to the welfare of the people of the state, Governor Mai Mala Buni has donated food items to inmates in Yobe State as Ramadan palliatives for "iftar", during the holy month of Ramadan.

The items donated included assorted bags of rice, sugar, vegetable oil, and Maggi, among others.

While presenting the items on behalf of the state government, the Executive Secretary of the Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy, Barr. Ali Adam Musa, said the council has also organized counseling lectures for the inmates during the month of Ramadan.

He appreciated the efforts of the state government, noting that this is not the first time the government has provided this kind of gesture across correctional facilities in the state.

The Executive Secretary urged the inmates to use the period of Ramadan to reflect on their past, emphasizing that Allah loves those who repent and follow the right path.
