NUJ Hails Buni over Restoration of Power supply in Damaturu

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Yobe State Council has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State for ensuring immediate repair and restoration of power in Damaturu, Yobe State capital and its environs.

It could be recalled that recently there was vandalization of the 330 kva towers by unknown persons which threw residents into darkness. The Governor who promptly collaborated with the Federal government, YEDC and REB for the restoration.

The Chairman NUJ Yobe Council in a statement made available to newsmen in Damaturu on Sunday appreciated all the stakeholders for their efforts.

He urged the residents not to relent efforts in praying for peace and unity in the state.

The NUJ Chair is wishing Christian faithful and other citizens a happy Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs and ethical reorientation, Yusuf Umar disclosed this at the second edition of the North East Unity Christmas Carol held at Damaturu the Yobe state capital. 9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
