Deaf Muslims Seek Gov't to build boarding Sch in Damaturu

The Association of Deaf Muslims in Nigeria (ADMUN)has appealing to Government to build a boarding Special School for Deaf people in Damaturu,Yobe state capital.
The Vice president, National Association of Deaf Muslims in Nigeria,Mohammed Abubakar Sadiq made this known on Friday while briefing journalists on the ongoing 32nd annual da'awa camp and National conference of Deaf Muslims in Nigeria.
The Deaf National conference with the theme" Present challenges in the lives of Deaf Muslims and the renewed hope agenda of government"is taking place at the Government Girls Unity Collage, Damaturu Yobe state capital.
Mr Abubakar Sadiq said,the aimed of the Da'awa and and National Conference of the Deaf Muslims programmes is to spread Islamic knowledge across the country.
He appealed to the general public to know that the Association is doing the camp annually and many challenges has been faced especially in the area of financing.
"Many people have promised to help us to carry out the programme but failed to fulfilled all the promised they have made.So I want the government to please consider us so that we can see the end of the camp successfully.
He further revealed that,the other challenges they are facing is the area of education,"we have advocating for boarding School in Yobe state capital but the Deaf have nothing to do as l nothing has been done ye in terms of assistance",said the Vice president National Association of Deaf Muslims in Nigeria.
The week long Deaf Muslims 32nd annual da'awa and conference will formally close on Sunday 31st December,2023 in Damaturu.
