NEYIF trains 16 CSOs,CBOs on PVE in Sokoto

In an effort towards enhancing capacity of Civil Society and Community Based Organisations, NEYIF Sokoto Field Office  begins its Annual 5-Days Capacity Building Training of CSO's/CBO's on Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism in Sokoto at Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto.

The training which is to take place from Monday 4th to Friday 8th December 2023, is themed: Strengthening Capacity of Organisations As a Tool For Sustainable Peace, Progress and Stability.

The 48 Participants who are drawn from 16 CSO's/CBO's across Sokoto State will undergo series of sessions on how to better understand Violent Extremism and adequately Prevent it from different resourceful Personel across Sokoto State.

Baba Malam Wali,as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election. The endorsement was the high point of the group’s “Inclusive Governance for Collective Progress and Development Summit 2026,” where Christian stakeholders from Yobe South resolved to back continuity and reward inclusive leadership. Wali, a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and began his career with the Chad Basin Development Authority (CBDA). He later served as Social Mobilisation Officer at the defunct Mass Mobilisation for Self-Reliance, Social Justice and Economic Recovery (MAMSER). The former SSG also worked as Principal Research Officer and subsequently Principal Private Secretary, now designated as Chief of Staff, to the Military Governor of Borno State.
