Yobe:Victims of Bayan-Tasha inferno get immediate Succour

As part of efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the victims of  Bayan-Tasha recent fire incident in  Damaturu,on Sunday the Office of the Yobe state Focal person, North East Development Commission (NEDC) with the directives of Governor Mai Mala Buni, delivered relief materials to affected victims.

The giving relief materials food items includes; 50 bags of rice and 100 cartons of spaghetti.


The Focal person NEDC in Yobe state, Architect Ahmed Buba Kyari said,the Visit to Bayan-Tasha Market is to commiserates with the people affected by the unfortunate fire disaster and also to give them a temporary relief materials that would cushion their immediate hardship as directed by Governor Mai Mala Buni.

He stated that,they equally assessed the level of destruction,damages and they are going to submit the report in the next few days for government to come back with more sustainable solutions to the problems.

“This important assessment process equally allowed Government to understand the greatest needs of the shops,kiosks and resident owners and recommend the most effective and sustainable strategies for further recovery mobilisation.

According to the yobe state NEDC Focal person,about 24 shops,11 kiosk and 1 residential building  affected by the fire outbreak.

Ahmed Buba further revealed that, Government of Mai Mala Buni is well known as the Governor who actually care for his people would definitely assist the fire incident victims.

"With NEDC and Ministries collaboration in the state more sustainable solutions would come up either to build the market or support them with relief or building materials defending on what the Government decide",said Architect Buba Kyari.
