8th Assembly:APC endorsed Mashio for Speaker in Yobe

All progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe  state said,the party endorsed Hon.Buba Chiroma Masho to be the Speaker of the 8th Assembly in the state.

The APC party chairman,Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka stated this in a press release made available to blueskynews by his press secretary,Hajiya Sa'adatu Maina

According to the statement,the development came after a meeting with the state party executive among all House of assembly members elect in damaturu,Yobe state capital.

Mohammed Gadaka revealed that,the endorsement of Hon. ChiromaBuba Mashoas speaker of the 8th Assembly in the state is in the interest of the stability and unity of the state.

He further said,the proposed leadership of the 8th Assembly in the state named Hon.Buba Chiroma Masho, to be the Speaker of the State House of Assembly for the next four years while also named Deputy Speaker-Hon.Ya'u Usman Dachia and House leader is Hon.Nasiru Hassan Yusuf.

According to the APC in Yobe state,other proposed principal officers in the 8th Assembly in the state are;Deputy Leader,Hon.Alhaji Hussaini Mohammed Yusufari,Chief- whip,Hon.Muhammed Auwal Isa Bello and Deputy Chief-whip,Hon.Ahmed Musa Danbol respectively.

With this development by the All progressives Congress (APC)in the state,all arrangements has put in place to elect the 8th principal officers at the state assembly complex by Monday,26th, june 2023.

Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio is the member elect representing jajere constituency fron fune local government area is the oldest serving member at the state house of assembly from 1999-2003, 2003-2007, 2007-2011, 2011-2015, 2015-2019, 2019-2023, 2023 to date.

A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
