Sallah:Continue to pray for Yobe,Lamin urges Muslims faithful

An Elder Statesman,Alhaji Mohammed Lamin has Wednesday asked People of Yobe state to continue praying for Governor Mai Mala Buni's administration in the state.

The Elder Statesman  stated this in his Sallah message while speaking to newsmen in damaturu on this year’s Eid- el- Kabir celebration.

Mohammed Lamin pointed out that the continued peace and prosperity of Yobe state and success of Governor Buni's government were hinged on the prayers and support of the people of the state.

He emphasised that once the people continued to support Buni's administration, the government would be able to deliver on its commitment to move the state to greater heights.

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  As part of its ongoing mission to support education, the Madakin Gudi Foundation has cleared five months’ stipends for 167 volunteer teachers across twenty-one schools in the Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State. A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
