NPC holds capacity workshop for Yobe Census publicity C'ttee

As part of preparations for the upcoming 2023 Census in the state,the National Population Commission (NPC)Yobe state Office has on Wednesday Organised a One Day Capacity-Building Workshop for Yobe State Census Publicity and Enlightenment Committee In damaturu.
Declaring the workshop opened,the federal Commissioner National population Commission,(NPC)Yobe State office,Alhaji Mai Aliyu Muhammed said ,Yobe state census publicity and Enlightenment Committee is charged with the responsibility of enlightening all Yobeans on the operation of the NPC,and specifically on the 2023 census.
Represented by the Director, NPC Yobe state,Iyawa D. Madagwa,Aliyu Muhammed stated that,the convening of the workshop for the State Census Publicity Committee is critical and it underscores the determination and commitment of the Commission to a successful exercise by updating the Committee on Processes and Methodology of the 2023 Population and Housing Census.
He noted that,the2023 census will be the first fully digitised census in the country, as the EAD was equally digital, sophisticated and robust.
The NPC federal Commissioner revealed that it is his hoped when the time for the census comes,refresher training will be Organized for all the functionaries so that they can perform their duties optimally and give the nation the much needed data in order to plan for the country's development.
He enjoined the census publicity committee to take advantage of the training to grasp the basic of census operation and processes so that when go out to enlighten the public,they can answer any question that may come their way.
Earlier in her remarks,the Director information who is also the secretary of the Yobe State census publicity and Enlightenment committee ,Hajiya Husna Ibrahim said the One-Day Training was on the Processes and Methodology of the 2023 Population and Housing Census.
Husna revealed that, the Publicity Committee duty is to make sure there is positive information across all and sundry at the grassroots.
She commended the Commission for its efforts to ensure a successful census in the State, promised that the Committee would support the processes, especially in the area of information dissemination across the 17 Local Government Areas of Yobe State.
Papers were presented during the workshop to includes;EAD and Digital Mapping by Dr.Muhammed Ta'a,How to generate media content by Alkasim Bala, Processes and Methodology for the 2023 Census by Iyawa D.adagwa and Technological Innovations by Dr.Muhammed Ta'a respectively.
