Sallah: Gadaka Calls on Muslims to Embrace Unity

The State Party Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC)In Yobe, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, has called on Muslims in the state to uphold the virtues of patience, compassion, and unity cultivated during Ramadan.  

The Party Chairman made the call on Sunday when he joined hundreds of Muslim faithful at the Yobe Mosque and Islamic Center to observe the two rak'at congregational Eid-el-Fitr prayers.  

Mohammed Gadaka emphasized the importance of sustaining the spirit of sacrifice and selflessness, encouraging citizens to support the less privileged and promote harmony in their communities.  

He further stressed the need for peaceful coexistence among ethnic and religious groups in the state, describing unity as Yobe’s greatest strength.  

The Party Chairman urged the Muslim Ummah in the state to use the festive period to strengthen family bonds, promote reconciliation, and foster peace by emulating the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through upholding justice, honesty, and compassion in all dealings.  

Among the dignitaries who attended the Eid-el-Fitr prayers were the State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana; the Chief Whip of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Tijjani Hannah Zakari; members of the National Assembly; as well as members of the State House of Assembly. Also present were the Head of Civil Service, Commissioners, Special Advisers, and heads of security agencies.  

Other dignitaries included the Emir of Gujba, Mai Muktar Ibn Ali Gangaran; former Deputy Governor, Goni Modu Zanna Burah; former National Assembly member, Hon. Ibrahim Umar; chief executives of boards and parastatals; Ulama; and members of the APC family.
