Yobe gov't to renovates NUJ chalet, correspondent's offices

Yobe State government has defined the quality and quantity of works required to be carry out for the renovation and reconstruction of some part of the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ) secretariat in the state.

This was disclosed by the Chairman NUJ,Yobe State Council,Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismail during a visit by the team of engineers from Gwaram Engineering company, lead by the company's project manager, Engineer, Musa Abdullahi to the NUJ secretariat for the works require to be carry out for the renovation and reconstruction of the NUJ's chalet and Offices. 

Comrade Rajab stated that,the chalet when reconstructed will be use for lodging visitors while the renovation offices will be use for correspondents' and women journalists (NAWOJ)as their work offices.

He revealed that, initially the renovation of the chalet and other offices of the NUJ secretariat was announced by Governor Mai Mala Buni some years back when he visited the press center.

According to Comrade Rajab, "recently we sat with the Chief of Staff , Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua over the renovation and Alhamdullah we thanked him for the support he is given to journalists in the state.

"He will support  and see to the success of NUJ press center renovate for the journalists in the state to have a conducive atmosphere for them to disseminate their reports to the general public out there",said Rajap.

The NUJ Chairman on behalf of the journalists in the state appreciated Governor Mai Mala Buni ,his deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, Information Commissioner, Abdullahi Bego,DG press,Alhaji Mamman Mohammed and Chief of Staff, Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua for the support given to the Journalists in the state.

Going round the NUJ secretariat,the team of engineers lead by the project manager, Gwaram Engineering company Yobe state, Abdullahi Musa said,they have checked both the offices and the chalets stressed that they will start the building from the scratch because all the dvc have fell.

He pointed out that,for the other buildings,there is some maintenance that they will put in place so that  it will bring up.

He revealed that the company "Gwaram Engineering company" has handled so many projects of Yobe state  government which among it's the recent reconstruction of 5 units of 5 bedrooms at presidential lodge and building of governor's wing at government house Damaturu which is on progress.
