Madakin Gudi foundation revisit Hamza's health status

A team of officials from Madakin Gudi Foundation led by Malam Hassan Kaku revisited General Hospital Gashua to see Hamza's  health condition after undergoing surgery.

During the visit the team find out that Hamza's Health is significantly improving. 

A relative of the Hamza, Malam Sadiq Mohammed who is with him at the hospital appreciated the effort of Yobe State Governor,Mai Mala Buni and  Madakin Gudi Foundation for coming up with this initiative and support. 

Mallam Sadiq Mohammed recounted that,if not because of the intervention rendered to Hamza,by the Yobe State Government and Madakin Gudi foundation ,his health might have been in serious threat by now.

It could be recalled that recently a life of an abandoned Almajiri named Hamza has been rescued by a team of Medical Experts who are on an outreach mission to Yusufari Local Government area in Yobe state.

Hamza Sadiq, a fourteen year old Almajiri pupil of Tsangayar Malam Ilu in Yusufari Community was in critical health condition resulting from Typhoid Perforation for over a month. 

The sickness nearly kill the boy when he was brought to Yusufari General Hospital by a good Samaritan Malam Nuhu Musa. 

Lucky enough, Hamza was brought to the Hospital on a day a Team of Medical Experts mobilized by Madakin Gudi foundation was on free medical outreach in Yusufari which is part of the team's state wide free treatment exercise. 

Immediately after seeing Hamza, the lead Doctor, MK Abdullahi diagnosed him and rectified the problem after which the Doctor referred the boy to specialists hospital gashua. 

Hamza was brought to the Hospital and went into surgery which is now successful and is getting better.

A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
