Yobe work ministry highlights notable Achievement in 2024

Yobe State Ministry of Works,under the leadership of Commissioner Engr. Umar Wakil Duddaye, is proud to highlighted its notable achievements in infrastructural development and other services as the year 2024 comes to a close.

In a statement made available to journalists in Damaturu said,the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the state's growth, earning widespread acclaim from its citizens.

According to the statement,the Ministry has successfully completed some  projects to includes;Jajimaji-Karasuwa Road, vital road connecting Jajimaji to Karasuwa,Chumbusko-Tagali Road.A 10-kilometer road,Damagum Town Roads and Drainage.Roads and drainage systems constructed in Damagum town,Fune LGA,2.6 kilometers of roads and drainage systems constructed in Potiskum town ,2.3 kilometers of road and drainage systems constructed in Jajimaji, Karasuwa LGA.

Others are;rehabilitation of the road from Katarko to Goniri,including stratification, earthworks,and construction of culverts in Gujba LGA, Repairs carried out on the road from Buni Yadi to Buni Gari in Gujba LGA.

"Kayayya Bridge Earthworks: Earthworks constructed to approach Kayayya bridge in Geidam LGA,Kayayya Bridge Triple Box Culvert: A triple box culvert constructed at Kayayya bridge in Geidam LGA, Bukar Abba Ibrahim Estate Entrance.Asphalting of the entrance to Bukar Abba Ibrahim Estate along Potiskum road.

In addition to the completed projects, the Ministry is currently working on the following projects:Rehabilitation of the road from Geidam to Bukarti, rehabilitation of Kanamma junction in Yunusari LGA, and construction of the road from Nguru to Balanguwa.

Also ongoing construction of 25 kilometers road from Damaturu to kalallawa,25.5-kilometer earth road from Gashua to Masaba,construction of a 22.5-kilometer road from Fika to Maluri in Fika LGA,construction of the road from Kukuri to Chukuriwa up to Dawasa in Nangere LGA.

"Construction of the Damaturu city gate to the capital city, Construction of 4.2 kilometers of roads and 8.4 kilometers of line drains in Potiskum town, and the construction of a 4-kilometer road from Nguru highway to Karasuwa.

The Commissioner commended Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni for the support which enabled the success of the Ministry in the outgoing year 2024.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs and ethical reorientation, Yusuf Umar disclosed this at the second edition of the North East Unity Christmas Carol held at Damaturu the Yobe state capital. 9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
