Gadaka extends Christmas greetings to Yobe Christians

The state party Chairman of All progressives Congress (APC)in Yobe, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka congratulated Christians in the state on this year’s Christmas celebration.

The  party Chairman  in a goodwill to all Christians on the occasion of the 2024 Christmas Celeberation through his media Secretary,Hajiya Sa'adatu Maina pointed out that the annual celebration of Christmas is in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ who paid the supreme price in order to save the lives of his disciples and followers. 

He said, the Christmas period should be used to strengthen existing friendships and establish new ones and enjoined Christians to exchange visits among themselves and adherents of other faith during the Christmas period. 

Gadaka reiterated his call for mutual respect and peaceful co-existence among citizenry by living with one another harmoniously irrespective of political,cultural and religious differences and urged people to imbibe the spirit of love and forgiveness for societal development. 

“It is with great pleasure that I on behalf of myself,and the entire members of APC , extends my warm and sincere message of goodwill to all Christians on the occasion of the 2024 Christmas Celeberation “.

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  As part of its ongoing mission to support education, the Madakin Gudi Foundation has cleared five months’ stipends for 167 volunteer teachers across twenty-one schools in the Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State. A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
