Media and Disability Care Initiative holds maiden meeting in Yobe

The media and disability care initiative (MEDCI) a non governmental organization (NGO)helds maiden meeting with its members in Damaturu to strengthen their activities in the north east sub region.

The organization with the mission to assist all people to have opportunity to achieve full,active,integrated and productive lives have its head office in Damaturu,Yobe state capital.

The Executive Director of the organization,Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismail revealed during the meeting that,the organization vision is to create a society characterized by inclusivity, equal access and socio- economic background or circumstances.

"The organization established in 2024 works to educate, support and empower youth,women to maximize their potential,work to promote inclusion, participation, access,and the mainstreaming of issues of concern like people with special needs.

" The organization strategic core development area includes media, persons with Disabilities, vulnerable groups, health among others",said the Comrade Rajab.

The MEDCI meeting in attendance were, Executive Director-Rajab Mohammed Ismail,Head of Programmes,Ishaku Adamu, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer,Fanna Abubakar,logistics Officer,Head of Gender,Hauwa Abubakar and Human resources/Admin Officer,Murjanatu Hamisu Yalwa.

Others were;Head of Communication Yusuf A Yusuf,Communication Assistant,Musa Maina,Head of ICT,Iliyasu Zannah,Head of Disability, Usman Bura Gabai among other volunteers respectively.
