YSCHMA Meets with NLC, CSOs on Service Delivery

Yobe State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (YSCHMA) held a meeting on Wednesday with 56 participants from 26 NLC-affiliated unions and CSOs to discuss service delivery.
The meeting aimed to Inform union representatives about YSCHMA’s operations, achievements, and newly reviewed service tariffs.Gather feedback, concerns, and suggestions from labour union representatives.
Others are;foster partnerships and collaborative relationships between YSCHMA and labour unions to ensure smooth implementation of the scheme in the state.Establish communication channels between YSCHMA and labour unions for timely resolution of issues.Address and clarify misconceptions about YSCHMA’s operations in Yobe State.
In his opening remarks, the Executive Secretary of YSCHMA, Dr. Babagana Tijjani, urged union and CSO representatives to collaborate. “Although challenges exist on one hand or the other, with your support and cooperation, these challenges will be overcome by God’s grace,” said Dr. Babagana.
During the meeting, a paper titled,"Healthcare Providers’ Roles and Responsibilities", was presented. Key points included:Providing services under the agency’s agreed health benefit package.Complying with the agency’s operational guidelines and Signing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with YSCHMA.
Others includes ensuring prompt and respectful care for all beneficiaries.Submitting names and qualifications of healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.) upon request.Delivering services to enrollees without discrimination and ensuring 24/7 availability.
