Group Condemns Recent Attacks in Kaduna,Calls for Action

The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has unequivocally condemned the recent bandit attacks in Kaduna State, urging repentant bandits to take immediate action to prevent further breaches of trust.
The attacks, which were reported by BBC Hausa, occurred in the Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna State, directly contradicting the peace agreement established between the Kaduna State Government, local emirs, community leaders, and bandit leaders. This peace accord had successfully brought an end to over a decade of conflict in the region.
In a statement signed by Hon. Khalil Moh’d Bello, National President of KACRAN, call to action for all parties involved to work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
According to statement,KACRAN, a peace-loving association, has celebrated the progress made through the peace accord and commends the dedication and courage of the Kaduna State Governor in this endeavor.The association urges other governors in the Northwest to follow suit.
The condemnation is based on several key points, including the contradiction of peace efforts, violation of cultural values,embarrassment to peace advocates, and disruption of community rebuilding efforts.KACRAN also notes that the attacks come at a time when normalcy has been restored to Birnin Gwari, allowing for the reopening of cattle markets and the resumption of local businesses.
The association urgently calls upon repentant bandits to act swiftly to prevent further breaches of trust and safeguard the borders of Kaduna State. The association also expresses its deepest condolences regarding this negative development and urges residents of Birnin Gwari to refrain from any retaliatory actions that could escalate violence.
Finally, KACRAN calls upon the Kaduna State Government to extend all necessary support and cooperation to repentant bandits to help them navigate the new security challenges in the region. The association remains committed to fostering peace and stability in Kaduna State.
