Road Construction has been on the priority list of my administration -Buni

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has said, road construction has been on the priority list of his administration in the state.

Buni made the statement on Wednesday at the official flagging-off of the reconstruction of 34km Danchuwa-Jajere  road Project in Jajere Community of  fune local government area of the state.

He said,the construction of the road when completed would unveil and harness the rich agriculture, livestock and other potential that abound the area as well as improve socio- economic live in the communities.

"Very reputable Company QUMECS Nig limited was carefully selected for the award the Construction of the 34km Jajere-Danchuwa road project.

"This project was awarded at the cost of N5,032,732,211.02 and is expected to be completed within 18 months," Buni said.

The Governor directed the contractor handling the Project to adhere all the specification contained in the contractual agreement.

He also enjoined the benefiting Communities of the project and all other projects across the State to support and corporate with the contractors to facilitate quality and timely completion of the project.

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
