NGO hands over borehole,latrine, classrooms to Yobe community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  A non-governmental organisation,  Save the Children International  (SCI) in partnership with Life At Best  Development Initiative (LABDI)  with funding from European Civil  Protection and Humanitarian and  Protection (ECHO), Tuesday, handed  over borehole, latrine, class rooms to Garin Itace community of Gujba LGA  of Yobe state. The field manager, SCI Yobe office,  Mr Dennis Elisha Dibal, said the  project aims to strengthen access to and improve the quality of basic education and children protection in emergencies in Northeast Nigeria. 970 Beneficiaries in Yobe Received FAO’s Tom Brown Food Supplement

  By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu Yobe State Government,through the Primary Health Care Borad, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), has officially launched the distribution of the Tom Brown food supplement in Fune Local Government Area (LGA) targeted 970 beneficiaries. The event, which took place on Friday at the Damagum Community aimed at addressing malnutrition among children under the aged of six months to five years. The Tom Brown formulation a nutritious malted cereal blend made from locally sourced grains such as maize, millet, and soybean is designed to provide essential vitamins and minerals for children under five, who are most vulnerable to malnutrition. NURTW Donates Palliatives to Families of Deceased Members

The initiative which was supported by Yobe First Movement (YFM) has brought hope and comfort to those affected by the loss of their loved ones. The State Coordinator, Yobe First Movement (YFM), Sadiq Mohammed, explained that, the initiative aimed to support the well-being and development of vulnerable children in the society. "We were able to presents the relief materials to the leadership of the NURTW for onward distribution to the families of deceased members. Group Educates Yobe Stakeholders on Small Arms Management

Gov.Buni awards scholarship to 127 law students in Yobe

Governor Buni praised the students for their achievements and reaffirmed the government's commitment to enhancing education through improved infrastructure and resources.  He highlighted past efforts, noting that over 38,000 students have benefited from the State Scholarship Scheme.This marks the fourth consecutive year of scholarships for law graduates, with full tuition support of N475,000 and laptops provided to each beneficiary.  The governor also referenced the recent success of 189 students who completed their studies in India, with many employed in the state’s healthcare sector.  He assured ongoing support for education at various levels and encouraged scholarship recipients to uphold their institutions' standards and serve as exemplary representative...

Bursari Residents commends foundation for Free Medical Outreach

Yusuf, Damaturu The Residents of Bursari Local Government Area of Yobe state  have commended the Madakin Gudi Foundation for its free medical outreach across the state.   The residents expressed their gratitude while speaking to journalists shortly after receiving free diagnosis, treatment, and medication in Dapchi, the headquarters of the local government council.   Beneficiaries were provided with free services, including screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, and other ailments.
