Gov.Buni assures Army of more support to end insurgency
By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has assured the Nigerian Army and other security agencies of continuous support in the fight against insurgency in the state. He gave the assurance on Sunday, in Damaturu when he received the Chief of Army staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede, on a courtesy call at the Government house, Damaturu. According to a statement by his Director-General, Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni commended the military for its commitment to the security now enjoyed across the state. He said the 17 local government areas are accessible with the people moving around pursuing legitimate businesses. "The security attained across the state affords the government the opportunity to execute its policies and programmes to improve the lives of our people unhindered" Buni said.
