Gadaka,APC Party Exco visits New Emir of Tikau


The Yobe State Chairman,All progressive Congress(APC) Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka among other State party Executive members were on Friday at the palace of Emir of Tikau to congratulates him over his recent appointment by Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni as the new Emir of Tikau Emirate.

The new Emir of Tikau,Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema to succeed his late father Alhaji, Dr.Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema May Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul firdaus.

The Party Executive lead by it's Chairman Muhammad Gadaka congratulated the New Emir of Tikau and prayed him for Almighty Allah's guidance,good health,peace and protection in the responsibilities bestowed upon him.

The APC Executive also prayed for the departed soul of the late Emir and sympathised with all of Yobe State for the loss.

The new Emir of Tikau emirate,Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema is the eldest son of his late father, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema and has a Bachelor of Agric Economics and Extension from Bayero University Kano,an Msc Agric Economics (Applied Econometrics, Development, and Resource Economics),and a Ph.D. in Rural Development.

He worked in various capacities at Yobe State University, and he is currently the principal manager of Yobe University Farm.

Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema has also attended various courses,which include training on environmental impact assessment at Ecosystem International Limited, Lagos, Nigeria, and health and safety training and induction at the University of Reading Safety Unit, Berkshrine, United Kingdom.

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  As part of its ongoing mission to support education, the Madakin Gudi Foundation has cleared five months’ stipends for 167 volunteer teachers across twenty-one schools in the Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State. A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
